Dr. Wu Ho-Wei is a Lecturer in Economics at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). Prior to joining CEIBS, she was an Assistant Professor and Economist for the China Macroeconomic Analysis and Forecast Project in Institute for Advanced Research at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. Dr. Wu received her Ph.D and M.A in Economics from Stanford University, B.A in Economics from Tsinghua University (Taiwan) and B.S in Quantitative Finance from Tsinghua University (Taiwan).
Dr. Wu’s research and teaching interests concentrate on macroeconomics, monetary economics and financial economics. Her secondary research and teaching interests lie in Computational Economics, Cross-sectional Econometrics, and the development of China’s economy. Dr. Wu has an abundance of teaching experience. Beginning in 2014, she taught Intermediate Macroeconomics in both Chinese and English at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, where her classes ranked in the top 5% and top 1% from among approximately 1300 courses offered during the 2015 and 2016 Fall semesters, respectively. As an economist, Dr. Wu has contributed to china’s bi-annual economic policy reports and has participated in numerous quarterly economic conferences. Her paper, “Modeling Diverse Expectations in An Aggregated New Keynesian Model”, was published in the Journal of Economics Dynamics and Control. She currently has several working papers awaiting publication in areas such as Macroeconomics, Monetary Policy and China’s Economic policy.
