​Dr Lam has post-graduate medical training in both Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, became a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (UK) in 2007 and Fellow of the Academy of Medicine in Nuclear Medicine in 2010. She has also done clinical training in the Department of Nuclear Medicine at University Hospital Zurich.

Dr Lam is currently Vice-Chair of the Chapter of Nuclear Medicine in the College of Radiologists, Singapore.

Dr Lam is Program Director of the Nuclear Medicine Residency Program as well as Clinical Physician Faculty Member of the Diagnostic Radiology and Endocrinology Residency Programs. She is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Duke-NUS Medical School, a Clinical Senior Lecturer with the National University of Singapore Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and an External Lecturer in Nanyang Polytechnic.

Her clinical interests include oncologic and non-oncologic applications of PET/CT, SPECT/CT and radionuclide therapy.
