Biography
Cox School of Business
William B. Brueggeman holds the Clara R. and Leo F. Corrigan Senior Chair in Real Estate and is professor and chair of the real estate department. He teaches courses in economics, finance, real estate finance, real estate and urban land economics/development, and corporate finance.
In addition to his academic activities in the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, Brueggeman is a past president of the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association and editor of its journal, Real Estate Economics (formerly the AREUEA Journal). He is a fellow of the Homer Hoyt Institute and a member of the American Finance Association.
Currently, he is senior director at L&B Realty Advisors (Dallas, TX) and a member of its Investment Committee. Previous professional activities include consulting director of real estate investment research with Goldman, Sachs and Co. (New York) and various other industry and government agencies.
