Research expertise
For almost two decades now Dr. Bai has devoted his efforts to the research of computational marine hydrodynamics, with emphasis in numerical simulation of water wave interaction with marine structures. He has accumulated a wealth of experience in numerical simulations and has developed independently a number of programs for calculating both potential flow and viscous flow with or without free water surfaces in two and three dimensions. These works enable us to get a good insight into physical phenomena related to wave-structure interactions, and provide meaningful hydrodynamic information for offshore and coastal engineering
