McDonough School of Business
Vladimir Mukharlyamov is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. An empirical corporate finance researcher, he uses novel datasets to study firm strategy and performance. He has done so in different settings including venture capital and private equity, banking, and retail. Dr. Mukharlyamov's papers have been published in the Journal of Financial Economics and have received media coverage in outlets such as Bloomberg, The Economist, The Financial Times, Harvard Business Review, and The Wall Street Journal, among others. Dr. Mukharlyamov received a PhD in Economics from Harvard University and joined Georgetown's faculty in 2016.
