Vitaliano Fiorillo

Vitaliano Fiorillo is a Lecturer in Operations and Technology at SDA Bocconi School of Management. He is a Contract Professor of Management at Università Bocconi.

At SDA Bocconi he is the AGRI Lab Director - Romeo ed Enrica Invernizzi Agribusiness Research Project and Director of the Agribusiness Management Development Program. He has conducted research and education projects with major enterprises in several industries such as F&B, Oil & Gas, Agribusiness, Energy and Automation, Commercial Aviation, Automotive where he acquired extensive knowledge.

His research activities focus on supply chain management and sustainability with a particular focus on Agribusiness. Recently, he has been working on the following topics: supply chain management in manufacturing and services businesses; agribusiness, sustainable agriculture and agribusiness management; supply chain management and sustainability in the food & beverage industry; food security, food safety; sustainable supply chain management; sustainability and sustainable operations; environment and sustainable development.

He is the author of several articles and business cases at international level. He has been awarded the International Prize for the EFMD Case Writing Competition with the Case “Boeing 787: Cleared for Take Off?”. He is the author of the book “Il Futuro del Biologico. Modello di Sviluppo per l’Agroalimentare” (Egea, Milan, 2015) on the development of the organic food industry.

Vitaliano earned a degree in Political Science from the Università degli Studi di Pavia, a Master in International Relations from Centro Alti Studi per la Difesa, a Master in Environmental Economics and Management from Università Bocconi and a Ph.D. in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, from the Università di Bergamo, in partnership with Università Bocconi and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) – Zaragoza Logistic Centre (ZLC), 2014.
