Biography
Vicente J. Bermejo is an assistant professor of Finance in the Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting at ESADE. He holds a PhD. in Finance from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, a master in Economics and Finance from CEMFI, and a bachelor degree in Business and Finance from CUNEF, Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Vicente has also been a visiting scholar in the Finance and Economics Division at Columbia Business School, USA. His research focuses on evaluating how public interventions affect corporate financial policies and the implications for the real economy. He also studies how heterogeneous investors influence corporate policies, and he has analyzed the effect of foreign stocks on diversification across industries and countries. Vicente has worked as a researcher at IESE Business School and CEMFI, as an auditor at KPMG in Germany, and in the commercial and financial department of BBVA in Paris. Moreover, he has been a consultant at Grameen Bank in Bangladesh and in a co-managed microfinance project managed by the Magdala Foundation and Grameen Bank in Tanzania.
