Biography
Professor Srivatsan is Clinical Associate Professor of Economics at the Stern School and teaches a variety of courses in the areas of international macroeconomics, international strategy and multinational management. He teaches currently in the undergraduate, full-time MBA, Langone and Executive MBA programs. He has been an adjunct Professor at the Columbia Business School as well, where he has taught a variety of courses, including ones on "Executive Leadership" in the Executive MBA program. He is currently working on a project to compile a number of case studies of how social entrepreneurship can and has promoted economic development in rural India.
With a PhD in International Business Strategy from Columbia University (1992) and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Civil Engineering from IIT, Chennai, India as foundation, he has wide-ranging knowledge and interests in the natural and social sciences. With work experience that includes working in a large oil multinational as well as a small electronics start-up in India, he has developed the understanding and skills required for dealing with both complex managerial as well as entrepreneurial situations.
