Valentina Carbone

Biography

Valentina Carbone is Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management at ESCP Europe business school, at the Paris Campus. Her recent research deals with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Sustainable Supply Chain Management, Sharing and Circular Economy Business Models. She is member of the board of the AIRL – the French speaking International Association for research on logistics and SCM. Valentina has conducted research on sustainable supply chain issues with public sector bodies such as the European Commission, the French Ministry for Sustainable Development or the Italian National Research Council.  She is the author of several articles (published in Journal of Business Ethics, International Journal of Production Economics, Journal of Business Strategy and the Environment, etc…), volumes, chapters and communications to international conferences. She earned a business and economics degree, an MBA and a doctorate in logistics at ENPC Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, Paris.   She enjoyed 3 years of business experience (Procter & Gamble) and a 4-year research fellowship at the French National Institute for Transport Research before joining ESCP Europe as a professor.
