Ulrich Linnhoff is a member of ESMT's faculty as well as responsible for USW Netzwerk programs. He is a program director for the German-language programs "General Management Seminar", "Programm für junge Führungskräfte aus Unternehmer-Familien", "Betriebswirtschaft für Führungskräfte", "Der Aufsichtsrat" und "Controlling für Führungskräfte".

Ulrich Linnhoff was formerly head of USW's open enrollment programs including USW's business simulations and program manager for open enrollment and customized programs in the area of insurance, finance, accounting, business administration and general management. He also developed a customized 3-month financial analysis program for a German investment bank and was key account manager for one of USW's largest clients.

Prior to joining USW in 1990, Linnhoff worked as a lecturer and research assistant at the University of Bochum, focusing on accounting, capital budgeting and decision theory. He originally studied at the University of Bochum and obtained his Master of Economics there.

His primary teaching and research interests are in the fields of finance, accounting and business simulations. He has co-published the book Betriebswirtschaft für Führungskräfte, as well as various articles and case studies.
