Prof. Dr. After training as a banker, Grothmann studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. He began his legal practice after receiving his doctorate. iur. in a respected Munich law firm. There he initially specialized in environmental law and later in the areas of construction planning law, real estate law and contract drafting.

When he moved to a law firm in Munich that specialized primarily in real estate and construction law in 1999, he further expanded this specialization. In 2005 Prof. Dr. Torsten Grothmann and his partners set up the Munich office for Avocado Lawyers. He worked there as a partner until 2013. Since 2014 he has been a founding partner of the GrothmannGeiser law firm with offices in Munich, Frankfurt, Jena and Berlin. Since 2006, Prof. Dr.
