Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO

Tomas Casas i Klett has been teaching degree and corporate programmes at Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO for more than seven years and also participates in the drafting of the academic agenda. He specialises in three areas: finance, international management and political science.

At the start of his career Tomas launched a number of business projects. Today he continues to work in business, but as an investor and consultant on strategic issues.

In 2005 Tomas defended his doctorate at the University of St. Gallen where he teaches to this day. He is also the author of the course Doing Business in Asia, paying particular attention to the interaction with China, Japan and India.

Tomas also teaches at Rotman School of Business (University of Toronto), McDonough School of Business and Fudan University’s School of Management.

In 2009 Tomas was awarded the Jonathan Welch Case Award granted by the North American Case Research Association (NACRA), for his research work AMS China: Sell Now or Later.

Experience:

Tomas Casas has been an entrepreneur in China’s trenches for 15 years and is now a business angel invested in over 10 companies based in Shanghai, China.

Education:

He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (US), and his Master in Science degree at Fudan University (China). He completed his PhD in Economics at the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland).
