Rotman School of Management

TOM MCCULLOUGH is an adjunct professor of finance at Rotman and teaches private wealth management. He is also Chairman and CEO of Northwood Family Office LP, a multi-family office which serves the comprehensive needs of families of significant net worth. He has spent over 30 years in the wealth management/ family office field, initially in senior executive roles with RBC wealth management.  Northwood Family Office has quickly become one of the leaders in its field and has consistently been recognized as the #1 Canadian family office by Euromoney in its global private banking survey.  Northwood is also a founding member of the Wigmore Association, an innovative collaboration of seven leading independent family offices from around the world (US, UK, Germany, Australia, Brazil, Canada) designed to share investment manager research, global investment perspectives and best practices for serving wealthy families. Tom is a frequent speaker and passionate advocate of the family office and other solutions to the issues wealthy families face. He is also a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Wealth Management and an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Western University’s Ivey School of Business. He is the co-author of Family Wealth Management: Seven Imperatives of Successful Investing in the New World Order (published by John Wiley & Sons). Tom is a Certified Investment Manager (CIM),  Chartered Strategic Wealth Professional (CSWP) and holds a certificate in Family Business Advising (CFBA).  He has a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University. He is married, has two adult children and is actively involved in a wide range of industry and philanthropic activities.
