Biography

University of St. Gallen

Tim Meyer is an Assistant Professor of Strategic Management at the University of St.Gallen. His research focuses on how digital platforms and ecosystems affect the performance and competitive relationship of companies, and how digital platforms can orchestrate and benefit from the products that are made available on them. He studies these questions across various settings including financial services, hospitality, news media and automotive. He is also affiliated with the Center for Financial Services Innovation (FSI-HSG) that conducts interdisciplinary research at the intersection of finance, management and law.

Tim Meyer received his PhD in Business Administration and Management from Bocconi University. Prior to his appointment at the University of St.Gallen, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute for Strategy, Technology and Organization (ISTO) of LMU Munich.
