Biography

A member of DePaul's faculty since 1987, Professor Thomas Mondschean teaches courses on monetary policy and economics, financial economics and international finance. His research interests are in financial institutions and international finance. He has served as an economic research consultant for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago since 1986.

Mondschean's work has been published in the Journal of Risk and Insurance, the Journal of Banking and Finance, the Journal of Financial Research, and the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking. He is the recipient of numerous awards and grants, including the Outstanding Paper Award given by the Southern Finance Association and a DePaul summer research grant. Mondschean is a faculty representative to both the College and University International Committee​ and is a member of the DePaul Faculty Council. Mondschean has led study abroad seminars to Ireland and Northern Ireland as well as Singapore and Malaysia.
