Biography

Taylan Mavruk, Professor of Finance at the University of Gothenburg and affiliated to the Centre for Finance. He was Visiting Assistant Professor of Finance at the Ross School of Business at University of Michigan between 2013 and 2014 and at the Swedish House of Finance at Stockholm School of Economics between 2016 and 2017. His research focuses on empirical portfolio choice, home/local bias, insider trading, mutual fund performance, and economics of patents. His research has been published or forthcoming in, for instance, Management Science, European Financial Management, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of International Money and Finance, and Columbia Business Law Review. Taylan has been teaching in courses related to finance and statistics since 2006 and has been supervising Ph.D. students in finance.
