Dr. Tae Yeol Kim earned his Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior at The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. He also holds a Master’s Degree and Bachelor’s Degree in Yonsei University, Republic of Korea. He worked in Management Department, City University of Hong Kong from 2004 to 2010.

His current research mainly focuses on organizational justice, cross-cultural psychology, creativity, leadership, proactivity, and person-environment fit. His work has been published in decent academic journals including Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Journal of Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Human Relations, and Journal of Business Venturing. Prof. Kim serves as an editorial board at Journal of Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Human Relations, Journal of Vocational Behavior, and Management and Organization Review.

Prof. Kim has won many research awards, such as CEIBS Medal for Research Excellence (2017), Reviewer of the Year, Human Relations (2017), Emerald Citations of Excellence (2015, 2016), One of the World’s Most Cited Chinese Researchers, Elsevier (2015), One of the most downloaded articles published in Routledge Behavioral Science Journals (2014), Research Excellence Award at CEIBS in 2012, Faculty Research Awards at City University of Hong Kong in 2007, 2009 Awards for Excellence of Emerald Literati Network, and Top-Rated Posters Award, The Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology in 2010, and etc.
