Susan P. Gilbert has served as the Dean of the School of Business and Economics at Mercer University since 2013. This followed three years as Dean of the School of Business and Management at Thomas Edison State College.
Prior to joining Thomas Edison State College, Gilbert served as executive director and associate dean of MBA Programs at Rutgers University in Newark. Before joining Rutgers, she had a distinguished career at Emory University in Atlanta where she served as executive director of Academic Programs, chair of the President’s Commission on the Status of Women and an associate professor of finance and developed and taught several courses in the university’s business administration program.
Prior to her career in academia, Gilbert served as a supervisor with AT&T.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Gilbert earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Binghamton University, State University of New York, in Binghamton, N.Y. and holds a Master’s and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
