Research & Teaching Interests

Professor Tignor''s research lies at the interface of consumer affect, personality, and moral/health decision-making. Specifically, she examines how experiences of guilt, shame and pride - at both the trait and state level - may be leveraged to promote moral and ethical behavior, physical health, and individual as well as societal well-being. Her research has been published in the Journal of Public Policy and Marketing, Journal of Personality, and Personality and Individual Differences. In addition, she has presented her work at various international conferences, including the Society for Personality and Social Psychology and the Association for Consumer Research.

Professor Tignor teaches Consumer Behavior and Introduction to Marketing to undergraduates.

Industry & Academic Experience

Professor Tignor has been conducting consumer behavior research since 2011. She also spent the summer of 2015 conducting research on employee satisfaction and well-being at Google in Mountain View, CA.
