Stefan Henningsson is Associate Professor at Copenhagen Business School, Department of Digitalization, where he is engaged in several research projects on IT management. Henningsson received his Ph D from Lund University, School of Economics and Management (LUSEM), based on a thesis of IS management in mergers and acquisitions.

His current research addresses managerial aspects of IS in various contexts, including M&As, global information infrastructures, and international trade processes. Previous publications include more than one hounded peer-refereed papers, in journals such as Journal of Management Information Systems, Information Systems Journal, European Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Strategic Information Systems and MISQ Executive. Henningsson is also an Associate editor of Information Systems Journal and MISQ Executive.

Henningsson teaches IT strategy and Digital innovation in the CBS Executive, Master of Business Development and Cand.merc(IT) programs. He has also developed a MOOC on the Digital Transformation of Financial Services for the Coursera platform.

Henningsson is also a member of the Danish IT Association’s Council for Strategy and Leadership.
