Sonia Andolz-Rodríguez teaches International Politics at the University of Barcelona. Originally a Political Scientist, she has focused her academic interests on conflicts, security and defence. She graduated from University of Oxford in Social and Cultural Anthropology, reading on identity building, nationalisms and ethnicities. She worked as a researcher at CRISE, at the same university, on nationalism and religion as sources for violent political mobilisation. She has worked in conflict contexts and since 2013, she teaches at different Spanish and Catalan universities and works as an analyst for several institutions.
