SUMMARY
I am a research professor in the Department of Population Health, Division of Healthcare Delivery Science, at NYU School of Medicine. I use my extensive experience in data analysis and health informatics to conduct research on health systems, studying how patients access health care, as well as healthcare quality and outcomes. Much of my recent work has involved utilizing the UK’s claims data to explore risk factors for endocarditis.
From 2002 to 2005, I was the head of Health Informatics and Operational Research at Bromley Hospitals National Health Service Trust in the United Kingdom. I became a research fellow at King’s College London in 2007 and a research professor at the University of Surrey in 2011. In 2012, I was appointed Chair in Healthcare Management and Policy at the University of Surrey.
My most recent posts were split between serving as professor of epidemiology and head of the Integrated Care Division at the University of Surrey and as Chief Data Scientist at MedeAnalytics International. I am also a visiting senior fellow in health services research at the London School of Economics
At NYU Langone Health, I also collaborate with other researchers to support the development and implementation of Division of Healthcare Delivery Science grants and projects at the Center for Healthcare Innovations and Delivery Science.
