Biography
The University of Adelaide
Simon has extensive experience working behind the scenes of South Australia’s biggest events since 1997, where he worked on his first event as a 15-year-old. Since this time Simon has worked in a number of different event spaces including music and food and wine festivals, large-scale conferencing exhibitions, sporting events and community events. In 2016 Simon started Duncan Event Management, a full-service event management consultancy that focussed on the operational, risk and safety aspects of events. Simon has worked with clients to deliver events including FERMENT the FESTIVAL, Adelaide and Barossa Marathons, McLaren Vale and Clare Half Marathons as well as other events for corporate clients. Simon has also worked with a number of clients in a risk and safety consultant role including Adelaide Festival, QBE Carols by Candlelight and State Opera SA, among others. Simon brings a practical approach to his training, enriching participant's learning with his wealth of industry knowledge and experience.
