Personal Profile
Siavush Randjbar-Daemi joined Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Manchester in September 2012 and is currently Lecturer in Iranian History in the Division of History. His first monograph, titled Quest for Authority in Iran: The Presidency from Revolution to Rouhani will be published by IB Tauris in mid-2017.
Prior to coming to Manchester, Siavush has taught Middle Eastern and Iranian history at Royal Holloway and at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. Starting from September 2015, he has been offering the ony specialist course on the Iranian Revolution of 1979 in the UK.
Siavush also currently serves as Book Reviews Editor (History) for the Iranian Studies academic journal.
He has also co-founded, together with Dr Oliver Bast, MIHAN - The Manchester Iranian History Academic Network, an initiative to foster and consolidate Manchester''s unique concentration of expertise and research interest in the modern and contemporary history of Iran.
