Biography:
Shiva TAGHAVI received her PhD in Human Resources Management from HEC Paris School of Management. She has been a visiting scholar in Psychology department at Stanford University. Holding a M.Sc. in Energy Engineering from Tehran Polytechnic, she has several years of professional experience in Oil and Gas industry. Her research interests include Cross-cultural Management, Multiple Identities, Implicit Beliefs, Work Ethic and Motivation. She uses experimental and quantitative research methods to study how multiple identities interact with each other to predict workplace behaviour. She explores identity integration/conflict in three different areas: Gender-professional identities (female executives), Cultural Religious identities, and Bicultural identity (Franco-Maghrebians). She has received a number of awards and recognitions, including the Most promising Thesis award from the Academy of Management.
