Sharon Lin

Biography

Sharon graduated from Yale in 1999 with a B.S. in Biology. She joined the Office of Development research team in January 2012 after doing leukemia research in the Yale Center of Excellence in Molecular Hematology and the Departments of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology. Previously, she lived in Beijing, where she taught English and American culture at Tsinghua University. At Yale, she was a coxswain for the men’s lightweight crew, a sports editor and football reporter for The Yale Herald, and a proud member of Timothy Dwight College. Outside of work, Sharon spends her early mornings and weekends coxing the men’s sweep program at the New Haven Rowing Club on the Housatonic River. In 2007, she appeared on Jeopardy! and defeated IBM’s Watson computer in early-round testing two years later.
