Biography
Prior to joining Olin, Professor Chayet served as an assistant professor at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He was a teaching and research assistant while pursuing his doctoral studies at Northwestern University. Professor Chayet was also a developer in the QCOOM project jointly sponsored by Motorola and the National Science Foundation. He has been an external consultant to ZS Associates.

Sergio Chayet is a Visiting Assistant Professor. His current research is in strategic planning for production and service organizations using queueing and game-theoretic models, control and management of manufacturing systems, stochastic models for production systems, and customer-supplier relationships.
Chayet taught at Chicago Booth from 1999- to 2005. Additionally, while studying at Northwestern University, he was a research and teaching assistant. Outside of academia, Chayet was a Developer for the QCOOM project at Motorola Corporation and National Science Foundation as well as an external consultant for ZS Associates.
Chayet earned a M.S. in Physics at the University of Chicago before pursuing a M.S. followed by a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences at Northwestern University.
