Biography

Dr. Serge Basini is a senior lecturer in Behavioural Science in Technological University Dublin. He is a registered qualified psychometrist (RQTU) with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the European Federation of Psychologists Association for Work and Organizational assessment (EFPA). In addition to extensive teaching experience nationally and visiting professorships internationally, he supervises research at undergraduate to doctoral level.

He is co-chair of the IPA Irish Doctoral colloquium and conference committee member of European Conference on Research Methodology for Business and Management Studies. He has served as external examiner to Dublin City University, National College of Ireland, the Irish Management Institute, the Marketing Institute of Ireland, IPA, University of Corvinus, Hungary and VSE Prague. He has published and presented nationally and internationally on topics such as the meaning of working, absenteeism management, flexibility in the Irish labour market, parent-child purchase relationships & pester power, and enhancing quality in qualitative research. In the last 25 years he has worked with companies such as VHI, IAA, Musgrave Group, DAA, ICOS on their management development programmes. Away from work, he is a keen road and mountain cyclist, advanced scuba diver, guitarist, golfer and holds a black belt in taekwondo.
