Serena Morricone

Serena Morricone is an Associate Professor of Practice of Financial Accounting & Analysis at SDA Bocconi School of Management.

Her collaboration with SDA Bocconi began in 2018 after being assistant professor at HEC Lausanne since 2010.

Her past and current research addresses three main questions. The first is the stock market evaluation of intellectual property rights. The second focuses on the outcomes of accounting regulation and enforcement. The third aims to determine the drivers and implications of firms' debt structures.

She is the author of numerous articles and contributions on her topics of interest. Her work has been published in The Accounting Review, Research Policy and the Journal of Industrial and Business Economics. She has been a visiting scholar at NYU and a Post-doc Marie Curie Research Fellow at Lancaster University.

Serena earned a degree in Business Administration from Luiss Giudo Carli, a Ph.D. in Management from the Università di Bologna and an ITP (International Teachers Programme) at HEC Paris.
