Professor Serden Ozcan is Chairholder of the Otto Beisheim Endowed Chair of Innovation and Corporate Transformation at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, and the Program Director of IESE-WHU High-Performance Board Member Program.

Professor Ozcan is the founding director of the annual WHU Campus for Corporate Transformation event, where supervisory board and C-suite members from Europe’s largest companies share their personal and professional observations on corporate transformation. Professor Ozcan is also the co-host of the Leading Corporate Transformation: The WHU Podcast powered by PwC, where he and PwC’s European Head of Finance Transformation host some of Germany’s most prominent CEOs.

As an expert on corporate transformation, private equity, and corporate entrepreneurship, Professor Ozcan has been the recipient of multiple international research awards and been published in top academic journals as well as practitioner journals such as MIT Sloan Management Review. He is frequently interviewed in the global media on transformation, innovation and entrepreneurship-related issues.

Professor Ozcan teaches courses for FTMBA, PTMBA and Kellogg-WHU Executive MBA, as well as for several open and customized executive education programs at WHU. Professor Ozcan has taught at the Copenhagen Business School and National University of Singapore Business School and has been a visiting scholar at Stanford University and the University of Chicago, among others. In 2023, Prof. Ozcan will be an associate faculty at the Department of Strategy and International Business, Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. Professor Ozcan’s present-day research projects include extensive collaboration with some of Europe’s leading companies, corporate restructuring firms, institutional investors, and private equity firms.
