Seong Jin Ahn

Professor Ahn is an assistant professor at Guanghua School of Management. He joined Guanghua School of Management in 2018. He received PhD from Washing University in St. Louis in Accounting. Prior to PhD, he studied statistics at Columbia University for master’s degree and accounting for bachelors' degree at Indiana University. He conducts research in topics related to firms’ reporting decisions, capital markets, and audit market. For audit market research, he focuses on structural modeling approach to examine frictions (i.e., loss of welfare) in audit market and propose strategies that can mitigate those frictions as social planners' perspective. He is also interested in recent developments in research methodology in economics and apply those methodology into accounting research area to solve unanswered important questions.
