Biography
Cranfield School of Management
Scotty's aim is to connect people to the things that matter. He is the founder of 'Explore What Matters'; a global enterprise providing transformative learning experiences.
For over twenty years, Scotty has provided opportunities for people to make a positive difference to their own lives, the organisations they are part of, and the societies they live in. He specialises in using reflective nature based settings, the spirit of journeying, and an experiential ethos to help people create the sustainable habits that matter.
He has designed and run; corporate well-being programs in the rain forests of Australia, retreats in expedition environments, personal coaching assignments for CEO's on yachts, and modular development programs for global corporations.
His most recent work involves setting up a partnership with the Cranfield School of Management which led to winning the prestigious 2016 EFMD Gold award for Executive Development, and creating an alumni of 140 graduates to influence organisations and society with an ethical and values based approach to leadership through his 'leadership for good' initiative.
His speaking engagements have taken him to The Royal Geographical Society, New York University, Moorfields Eye Hospital London, and the United Nations Alliance of Civilisations.
Clients he has worked with include; Sky, Sony Music, Travelex, Lendlease, NHS, BG Group, UBS, and the British Lions Rugby Team.
Scotty works informally and with humility and humour. He has a real skill in challenging and engaging audiences by utilising his 20 plus years of facilitation experience. He is a commercially qualified Yachtmaster, has spent over 18 months running Arctic expeditions, and loves a good sing-a-long with the Ukulele.
