Scott Thayer

Scott Thayer is an Institutional Consulting Director - Investments with Graystone Consulting in Santa Rosa California. Scott started his career at EF Hutton in 1983 after leaving his position at Chico State University lecturing in Finance and Investments. Scott is focused predominantly on the advice and management of Non-Profit Foundations, both in the US and abroad. Throughout his career, he has been recognized both by the industry and his peers as a thought leader. Barron's has named him as one of the Top 100 Financial Advisors in the US, his consulting peers presented him with the John Ellis Award for providing the highest quality of service to the institutional marketplace, and the Association of Professional Investment Consultants has presented him with the Tom Gorman award for Leadership and Service. In addition, his firm has recognized him on two occasions with the Harry Irvine award as the consultant who has demonstrated the highest level of quality, service, and integrity in his client endeavors. Scott has served several terms on the Board of Directors of the Association of Professional Investment Consultants (APIC) and in 2008 joined the Board of Directors for the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA).
