Owen Graduate School of Management

A former tax consultant at Deloitte and WCI Communities, Inc., Scott Johnson is the Faculty Director of the MAcc Program and has taught numerous classes in taxation and managerial accounting. As a previous tenure-track professor, Scott’s research interests focused on earnings management. Before pursuing his degrees in accounting, Scott was a sports broadcaster and is still interested in all things sports-related.

Teaching

Prior to coming to Owen, he was an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Virginia Tech University. At Vanderbilt, Scott teaches Taxation of Business and Investment Transactions and Federal Taxation of Business Entities in the daytime MBA and MAcc programs and undergraduate managerial accounting.
