Sarah Nicholson

Sarah Nicholson is an independent consultant and trainer specialising in financial services, operations and custody issues.

Prior to training Sarah worked at Aviva Investors for over 20 years. Sarah’s role at Aviva Investors as Global Director of Securities Finance meant she was responsible for trading desks and operational teams across the globe. Sarah also developed policy frameworks for a number of business lines within the company which ensured a consistent and risk controlled delivery across all markets and products.

Sarah was a board member of the International Securities Lending Association (ISLA), the European wide trade association for securities finance. Sarah helped develop standardised market legal agreements and develop market wide best practices. Sarah continues her connection with ISLA and is now an independent consultant to the association, specialising in regulatory change and operations issues.

Sarah holds the Investment Administration Qualification and the Securities Institute Investment Management Certificate.
