Kellogg School of Management
Sara Moreira is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Strategy. Her general areas of interest are applied macroeconomics and industrial organization, with an emphasis on the dynamics of business formation, growth, and productivity.
She is currently engaged in a variety of research projects that use granular data from large datasets to study key aspects of the aggregate evolution of entrepreneurial activity and labor demand in the economy. Her recent work studies how the state of the economy when businesses start operations affects their size and performance over the lifecycle.
Sara joined Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management in July 2016. She received a PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago.
