Biography
Sanjay Deshmukh is a professor of finance and director of the Master of Science in Finance Program at DePaul University and is also a CFA charter holder. He was the recipient of DePaul’s Quality of Instruction Council Excellence in Teaching Award in 2004 and 2017 and the Gus Economos Distinguished Teaching Award in 2017.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Deshmukh has several refereed publications and completed papers under review at journals. Some of his most recent refereed publications include “Informed Short Selling around SEO Announcements” (2017) and “Short Selling and Firm Operating Performance” (2015). His current research focuses on shelf registration of security issues and on implications of short selling for corporate finance.
Deshmukh has also been the director of the Master of Science in Finance Program for the Driehaus College of Business since 2008.
