Sandra Gomberg

Sandra Gomberg, RN, MSN, is the President of SLG – REG, LLC, a health care consulting firm focusing on disruptive innovation in health care delivery, business models, and improving quality care. Ms. Gomberg serves as Chief Operating Officer and Board Member for Stel Life, Inc., a remote monitoring technology company, and Board Advisor for Cognitio Analytics, an international analytics enterprise with deep experience in advanced analytics models across multisource-complex data sets. Ms. Gomberg is also an Advisor for Dreamit Ventures, a venture fund and growth program focused on startups with revenue or pilots ready to scale. Previously, Ms. Gomberg served as President of Aria Jefferson Health System, a 485 bed, three-hospital health system and community physician enterprise in Northeast Philadelphia, from June 2016-May 2017 and Aria's Chief Operating Officer (COO) since 2013. Before joining Aria in June 2013, Ms. Gomberg was a member of the Temple University Health System leadership team for more than 13 years and served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Temple University Hospital Inc., the flagship academic hospital, community physician enterprise, psychiatric hospital, and air ambulance-transport company. Ms. Gomberg has served as a clinical specialist for a multistate regional home care service and led the stabilization and divestiture of an 800 bed, three-facility long term care enterprise. Ms. Gomberg's work routinely focuses on disrupting operations to enhance quality, safety, and staff and physician engagement across all of her leadership roles. Ms. Gomberg has held numerous board positions, including those related to her role as President at both Aria Jefferson and Temple. Ms. Gomberg also served as a board member of both the Cigna Bravo Medicare Advantage Health Plan and the Health Partners Plan (Medicare Advantage Plan and Managed Medicaid Plan), both companies in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was named Trustee for the Foundation of the National Student Nurses Association located in New York City. She holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Nursing from the M. Louise Fitzpatrick College of Nursing at Villanova University. She is a member of the core faculty in the Villanova University College of Nursing's Doctor of Nursing Practice Program and a Mentor in the Thomas Edison State University's W. Cary Edwards School of Nursing's Doctor of Nursing Practice and Master's programs. Ms. Gomberg has earned numerous awards, honors, and accolades for her professional and civic duties. Also, she has written or contributed to many articles, papers, and textbooks within the fields of nursing and administration.
