As one of the ASPE instructor team’s most senior experts, Sam Polsky does more than just teach. Sam leads teams of subject-matter experts and instructional designers to design and deliver in-depth, extended technology training curricula to some of the largest companies in the world. With a central focus on data engineering, analytics, data science and the enterprise application life cycle, Sam's team is able to deliver expertise solving sophisticated skills gaps in some of the most challenging enterprise technology environments. Sam brings instructional capability on a broad array of enterprise data infrastructure: Oracle data environments, various SQL flavors, big data stacks, ETL practices, and application integration for all of the above. Sam also brings critical analytics and data science skills to the individuals and teams that manage and provide services on top of data assets in the enterprise. This combination of infrastructure and IT expertise combined with data science and analytics capability gives teams a valuable blended skill set unifying infrastructure with data analysis applications.

Recent engagements:

At a large-scale financial institution, Sam and his team developed a six-week program of classes, assessments, and project scenario assignments to onboard young engineering associates recruited from leading Computer Science programs universities nationwide. At ADP, Sam and his team developed and taught a similar program for new hires in the area of application development and systems analysis. Training in these areas revolved around enterprise database management and infrastructure administration, combined with integrated analytics, big data practices, and service design and delivery to other areas of the technology organization.
