Said Mia is the Founder and Managing Partner of Stormbreaker Venture Group LLC, an early-stage technology focused venture capital fund based in Silicon Valley. Said also founded Sweat Equity, a strategic advisory firm focused on helping venture-stage companies. He has advised and invested in several early-stage companies in the technology and consumer sectors. Said was also a venture capital investor at VU Venture Partners, having led the firm’s Consumer investing practice.

Previously, Said was an M&A technology investment banking Vice President at PJT Partners (formerly known as The Blackstone Group) and was a founding member of the firm’s San Francisco office. He began his investment banking career in Citigroup’s West Coast Technology Practice. Throughout Said’s investment banking career, he advised on transactions that total over $10 billion in aggregate transaction value, with a client base that includes some of the top technology companies in the world.

Said began his career with Export Development Canada (EDC), helping facilitate large-scale transactions that contained a Canadian interest.

He holds an MBA from Cornell University and a B. Comm from Carleton University. Said is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
