Professor Lane''s research and teaching interests focus on Comparative Politics, Research Methodology; and include Computer Modeling and Cognitive Science. She is the author of the recently published The Complexity of Self Government: Politics from the Bottom Up, The Art of Comparative Politics and Political Science in Theory and Practice: The ''Politics'' Model. Her research appears in journals such as the American Political Science Review, Journal of Theoretical Politics, and Comparative Politics.
