Biography

-

Making a contribution to businesses, supply chains and society by applying my knowledge and skills is what drives me. Honesty, openess and fair trade are important to me. Although intermodal transport is my core expertise, I don´t want to be put in this box only. Over the last few years I have also co-created online marketing and communication tools, conferences and events, gave presentations at multiple conferences and became a fan of Best Value Procurement and working with scrum. I acquired a lot of knowledge about ports in general and became experienced in developing new or assessing existing business models, strategies and marketing plans.

This might puzzle you a bit, but I just want to let you know that I am interested in lots of topics and I am keen to learn new things and apply these knowledge and techniques in practise. I would be happy to help you with any question you might have.

Intermodal Expertise

As consultant I have advised organizations on intermodal transport, including the World Bank and Provincie Gelderland. In addition, my expertise on intermodal transport is seen as an important asset for the development of research projects in the port of Rotterdam and contribute to the development of outlooks on reducing transport related CO2 emissions.

Interests

Doing something different everytime and learning from that experience, that is what interests me. Therefore, my interests and expertise are quite broad. Happily, I have been able to get involved in many different projects and activities. Want to know more? I have provided an overview in key words.

Between 2010 and 2015 I have executed academic research on strategies and business models for intermodal hinterland transport. This research has resulted in a PhD, several scientific publications and I have gained valuable knowledge in the field. My publications are listed on this website.
