Weatherhead School of Management
Robin Dubin, PhD, professor of economics, serves as associate dean of graduate and professional programs at the Weatherhead School of Management and as university marshall. The overarching theme of her research has been an examination of the impact of geographic space on economic interactions. Research areas include the housing market, technology transfer and developing new econometric techniques with which to explore spatial relationships.
Dubin has written extensively on spatial auto-correlation. Her work has appeared in the REVIEW OF ECONOMICS AND STATISTICS, JOURNAL OF URBAN ECONOMICS, JOURNAL OF REGIONAL SCIENCE, REGIONAL SCIENCE AND URBAN ECONOMICS, and the JOURNAL OF REAL ESTATE FINANCE AND ECONOMICS, among other prestigious journals. She has presented at the Midwest Economics Association, the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association (AREUEA) in Washington, D.C., and the Homer Hoyt Institute in North Palm Beach, Florida. In 2008, Dubin was awarded the Weimer School Fellow at the Homer Hoyt Institute.
Dubin received her PhD from The Johns Hopkins University and her BA from Case Western Reserve University. Since her appointment to Case Western Reserve in 1988, Dubin has taught at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Her courses include Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, Urban and Regional Economics, Econometrics, Life after Graduation, Real Estate, and Economics for Management, among others.
