Robert Suarez

Robert is constantly investigating human behavior, nature''s strategies, and emerging technology to find new opportunities for design and innovation that drive positive impact for the world. 

He is the Managing Director of Innovation and Design for Singularity University Labs. SU labs brings together entrepreneurs, corporations and impact partners to enable the creation of sustainable solutions to difficult challenges—education, energy, environment, food, global health, poverty, security, space and water—that face humanity.

Robert is a Co-Founder of Stomp Sessions, an emerging technology start-up in the action sports industry.

He was on the founding team of Level Money, a mission-driven design-led financial services organization in San Francisco. Level’s mission is to empower America’s young adults to take control of their financial futures, both individually and collectively, by creating fair and trustworthy personal financial services and by educating and advocating for financial sustainability. 

Throughout his 20-year career in experience design Robert has created product and service experiences that change the way people live, work, and play. He was a Senior Portfolio Director at IDEO, where his design direction focused on building new offerings in mobile experiences, financial services, cross-platform gaming and emerging technologies. He is a founding board member of the Truckee Roundhouse non-profit maker space, is a co-founder and design director of Stomp Sessions, and holds degrees in Industrial Design and Biomimicry from Carnegie Mellon University and Arizona State University. He strives for solutions that integrate social, environmental, and educational considerations while proving that purpose and profit can combine for the greatest impact.
