Biography

Robert Gutsche studied Accounting and Finance at the Freie Universität in Berlin (FUB) and at the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria in Madrid (UFV). He finished his doctoral studies in 2012 and obtained his Ph.D. in February 2013 from the University of St.Gallen. During his doctoral studies, he was a Research and Teaching Assistant at the Institute for Accounting, Controlling & Auditing (ACA). From August 2012 to July 2013 he was a Visiting Scholar at the Accounting Department of the Columbia University in New York. Until completing his postdoctoral phase in July 2015, Robert Gutsche was employed as a lecturer for Accounting at the School of Management of the University of St.Gallen. Since August 2015, he is an Assistant Professor (Finanz- und Rechnungswesen) at the School of Management (SoM). Since September 2015, the Institute of Operations Research and Computational Finance is pleased to welcome Prof. Robert Gutsche, Ph.D. on board.
