Mr. Gordon joined Public Safety Canada in April 2008 and was responsible for leading the development of Canada's Cyber Security Strategy. In this capacity, Bob provided both strategic and operational leadership across the security and intelligence agencies of the Government, and drove consultation and engagement with key international allies and the private sector.

Prior to taking on his current role at Public Safety Canada, Bob had held a variety of senior positions in the security, intelligence and law enforcement communities. Bob's career has spawned four of Canada's key security organizations - Public Safety Canada, Communications Security Establishment Canada (CSEC), Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) - has seen him live across Canada and in the United States; and has taken him to all parts of the world, where he has successfully formed enduring and mutually beneficial relationships with other governments and industry.

Biography

Robert N. Gordon joined New York University Stern School of Business as an Adjunct Professor in 1991 and he teaches a course on applications of arbitrage theories. Professor Gordon co-authored Wall Street Secrets for Tax-Efficient Investing with Jan Rosen, and authored and co-authored chapters of Tax Planning for the Affluent, Market Shock and The Investment Think Tank. He has published many articles on arbitrage, taxes and hedging strategies. He writes a monthly column for Investment News. He serves on the Editorial Advisory Boards of Derivatives Report, The Journal of Taxation and Investments and The Journal of Wealth Management.

Professor Gordon is the president of Twenty-First Securities Corporation, which he co-founded in 1983. Before starting Twenty-First Securities, he was a partner at Oppenheimer & Company. He is also on the Boards of the Securities Industry Foundation for Economic Education and the Adler Planetarium in Chicago.
