Robert Benhenni is Professor at Léonard de Vinci Pôle Universitaire, Research Center, in Paris, and Resident Scholar at the NYU Salomon Center and has been a consultant to major investment banks and hedge funds in New York through his NYbased company, QFA, Inc. He has worked near 20 years in the financial industry in New York where he worked at various Wall Street firms in both Hedge Fund / Asset Management and Investment Banking such as Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse and Natixis. In his various roles in Wall Street involving portfolio management, quantitative analysis and risk management, Benhenni kept strong ties with the academic world: University of Chicago Booth School of Business and NYU Stern School of Business where he conducts applied research. With joint work with Professor Edward Altman, he recently published research work on “The Anatomy of Investing in Defaulted Bonds & Loans” in the Journal of Corporate Renewal and recently created a first-ever Middle Market company performance index that the media (Wall Street Journal, CNBC) have discussed. His current interests are in research and investment strategies in the corporate credit markets including High Yield, Distressed and Defaulted Debt. Benhenni received his PhD in Probability/Statistics from UCLA and an MBA with Honors in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business
