Associate Professor Robby T Tan is a faculty member at Yale-NUS College and also at Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, NUS. Before coming to Singapore, he was an Assistant Professor at Utrecht University in the Netherlands, a research associate at Imperial College London, and a research scientist at NICTA/Australian National University. He received his PhD and MSc degrees in Computer Science from the University of Tokyo, Japan.

Assoc Prof Tan’s research focuses on computer vision and deep learning, particularly in the areas of bad weather, physics-based approach, and motion analysis. Besides this, he has strong interests in image processing, computer graphics and general machine learning techniques.
