Melbourne Business School

Professor Richard Speed is Pro Vice-Chancellor (Regional) at La Trobe University, with the primary role of overseeing the university’s delivery and engagement with the regional communities it serves through campuses in Shepparton, Bendigo, Mildura and Albury-Wodonga.

Richard arrived in Australia over 20 years ago, joining Melbourne Business School, University of Melbourne, where he taught and researched in marketing strategy and using marketing in non-profit settings, including politics, public service delivery and higher education.  He was appointed ANZ Professor of Marketing Strategy in 200,1 and served as Associate Dean (Faculty Resources).  He studied at Oxford and Loughborough Universities, and taught at King’s College London.

Richard is a Director of the Bendigo Art Gallery, and a member of the Loddon Campaspe Regional Partnership.
