Kenan-Flagler Business School

Richard Mann is professor of legal studies. 

His research interests include governmental regulation, commercial law, and the law affecting business associations and corporations. He also teaches courses in ethics and managerial law.

Professor Mann is co-author of three business law texts with UNC Kenan-Flagler professor Barry Roberts: "Business Law and the Regulation of Business" (7th edition), "Essentials of Business Law" (8th edition) and "Business Law" (12th edition). 

He also has written on CyberLaw, the applicability of tort law to commercial buyers, a comparative study of the evolution of intellectual property and antitrust in the European Union and the United States, and sexual harassment in the workplace. 

He received his JD from Yale University and his BS from UNC-Chapel Hill.
